American travel magazine, "Travel & Leisure", have just released the results of their 16th annual readers’ poll and put 2 of Lisbon's Hotels in the world top 100.
This poll determines the crème de la crème of the world’s top class hotels, based on readers appraisals.
According to the results two of the world’s best hotels are located in Lisbon; Olissipo Lapa Palace and Lisbon Ritz Four Seasons. These hotels were actually the only ones classified in this TOP 100 in the whole Iberian peninsula, they ranked 31st and 99th respectively.
Olissipo Lapa Palace ranked 4th if only the European hotels are taken into consideration:
European Top 5
1. Hotel Caruso, Ravello, Italy
2. Stafford London, London, England
3. Turnberry resort, Turnberry, Scotland
4. Olissipo Lapa Palace, Lisbon, Portugal
5. Hotel Villa Capriani, Asolo, Italy
